Route 6 ~ Marmaris-Greek Islands-Marmaris Blue Cruise

Blue Voyage through the Greek Islands is very exciting.

Rhodes
Island of Rhodes is a Greek located on the souuth-southwest of Marmaris. Rhodes was one of the most important cities during the era of the Romans and Byzantium (fifth to third century BC). Later on the island captured by the St.Jean Knights and till 1519 the Knights lived in the island. The establishment of today's Rhodes dating back to 1920.

Today the Island of Rhodes is an important tourist destination in the Mediterranean. There are a lot of shops and quality restaurants. The historic places worth seeing. The city is separated as the old and the new city. All the facilities are located in the new city.

 

 

The Temple of Aphrodite, The Archeology Museum of Rhodes, The Grand Master Palace, The Byzantium Museum, The Mountain Smit and The Suleyman Pasa, Aga & Ibrahim Pasa Mosques are the places of interest.

 

 

 

Simi
Island of Simi is the other very attractive island located on the north-west of Rhodes, south-west of Marmaris. Simi is famous with the monastery located on the shore of the cove. It is an important Orthodox monastery and every year many Orthodox people come and visit from all over the world. There is a small village connected to the coast by a long marble stairs. The village is very sweet.

The Orthodox Monastery, the historic Watch Tower, Naval Museum and the Agha Georghius Chapel are the places of interest.

After the Simi visit you may end your travel via Datca and Bozburun Coves and then you may come to Marmaris.
