This private museum is located
on the way to Mugla, 10 km. away
from
Marmaris. It is built on a
3.000 square meters of an indoor
area. Museum has two sections.
In the archaeology section;
archaeological pieces belonging
to various ages such as
earthenware, glassware works,
coins, sculptures and ornaments
are exhibited.
In the ethnography section;
carpets, wooden and marble
works, weapons and traditional
clothes belonging to various
ages are exhibited. The owner of
the Museum, Mr.Urkay, has
collected those items since 50
years.
The Museum is open for all days
a week and entrance is free of
charge.
