Marmaris is a coastal town, a
port city and a tourist
destination on the southwest
Mediterranean coast of Turkey,
in the Mugla Province.
Marmaris
is one of the Turkey's most
popular holiday towns and
largest resorts on the Aegean
coast.

of Marmaris starts when the
first settlement begun with the
arrival of a tribe to the region
in from 3400 BC. Although it is
not certain when Marmaris was
founded but in the 6th century
BC the city was known as Physkos
and it was part of the Caria.
Marmaris has a typical Aegean &
Mediterranean climate. Summer is
hot and winter is rainy. The
hottest months are July and
August. Marmaris takes so much
rain in fall and winter.
