Rhodes is a
Greek island located on the southwest of
Marmaris. Rhodes was one of the most
important cities during the era of the
Romans and Byzantium (fifth to third century
BC). Later on the island captured by the
St.Jean Knights and till 1519 the Knights
lived in the island. Today the Island of
Rhodes is an important tourist destination
in the Mediterranean. There are a lot of
shops and quality restaurants.
Marmaris Rhodes Ferry Lines
There are
numerous daily excursions, trips and tours organized to
Rhodes from
Marmaris during the summer season. The
Catamarans leave from the Marmaris Marina.
Trips are usually made twice a day and it
takes about two hours. You may buy tickets
from the travel agencies by the port.
According to your nationality you may need
to take visa too. You may also visit Rhodes
by your own yacht.
Things You should Know before you take a
trip to Rhodes:
Reservations:
- You need to make reservation at least 1
day before your desired trip date to Rhodes.
- You need to give your passport details
(Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Nationality,
Passport Number and Sex) during the
reservation procedure.
Journey:
- It takes about 50 minutes by fast
catamaran and 2 hours by car ferry.
- Departure from Marmaris to Rhodes is
mostly at 09.00 am. and 16.30 p.m. back from
Rhodes to Marmaris.
- You should be at the port at least 1 hour
before the departure and passport control.
No personal luggage limitations.
- In your daily
Rhodes trip, you will have about 6 hours
for getting around Rhodes.
- You may participate to a guided tour in
Rhodes. Guided tours are recommended for the
holidaymakers who will visit Rhodes for the
first time.
- There are car ferries mostly once a week
to Rhodes. So you are able to visit Rhodes
by your car. It takes about 2 hours to
Rhodes from Marmaris via car ferry. Rhodes
visit by your car is not recommended for a
daily visit.
