Marmaris National Park
Marmaris National Park is one of the popular natural parks in Turkey. Every piece of land worth seeing and is very suitable for ecological tourism.

 

Marmaris National Park starts on the 6th kilometre from Marmaris. The region is quite huge and eligible for the activities such as; jeep safari, trekking, hiking, mountaineering, cycling, horse riding, hunting, forest and base camps. The region on the northwest side of Marmaris has a red appearance due to the oxidation of the old magnetic rocks. Forests of pine, oak and plane trees in the company of beautiful landscape fascinate its visitors. There are many species of Mediterranean plants such as; wild olive, arbutus, rosary, sumac, locust tree, oleander, and bay trees. Hiking and mountaineering possibilities are great. There are many plateaus and hills in the company of green lands and blue seas. Plateaus and isolated beaches around the region and especially Cennet Island is worth seeing. Marmaris National Park is located in the site of the ancient cities of Physkos and Amos, Carian cities of the ancient ages. There are many picnic and camping areas in the park. The nearest accommodation is in the towns of Marmaris or Icmeler on the southwest.

Park of Archeology in Iyilik Rocks
The park is located on the region known as Iyilik Rocks in the central Marmaris. The region is on a 8.342 square meters and 2.100 square meters by the hill. Archeplogical ruins belonging to the 4th century BC are exhibited in the park.
