Paradise (Cennet) Island

The Paradise Island is known as an island but it is actually a peninsula (Nimara) all covered with forests. It is located just across the Marmaris Bay. The island is a popular place for the daily boat trips. All boats stop by the island.

If you want you may ride eight kilometers to the Yalanci Bogaz (Fake Straight) and from there take a walk to the island. It may be a nice trekking experience for you. The path through the island is great for nature lovers. It has a wonderful landscape.

There are a lot of restaurants and cafes on the island for the visitors. There are few less-known caves on the island.

The region is very suitable for swimming. You may spend a great day in your island visit for sure.

The Yalanci Bogaz (Fake Straight) is a rocky area connecting the Paradise Island to the land. It has a story of a captain who has hided to the area for sheltering in a very stormy weather thinking that it is a straight but ran aground after. Due to this story the area named as "Fake Straight". There are wooden gullet shipyard.
