Uzunyali (Long Beach) is located between central Marmaris and Icmeler. After a short walk from central Marmaris you arrive the region. The Uzunyali beach stretches down the side of Marmaris, so holidaymakers will be able to dip into the sea whenever they want. Uzunyali region is great with a very long seaside walking area. It offers lots of discos, clubs and cafe bars. There are huge quantity of restaurants, bars and cafes together in the area. There are also lots of hotels just by the seaside. Uzunyali region also has a great landscape and aura in winter too.
The Uzunyali Beach - Long BeachThe dusky volcanic sand on the Uzunyali beach in Marmaris simmers in perfect Mediterranean temperatures from April all the way to November and covers the entire Marmaris coastline, giving you plenty of room to stretch out in. By day, unwind on the beach and sip a cocktail freshly made from a nearby bar. If you have kids, feel free to let them take to the calm and safe waters, build sandcastles, or take them to the Atlantis water park. There are also plenty of facilities for children including kids’ clubs.
The clear and warm waters offer fantastic opportunities for snorkeling and are exactly what you need for a refreshing dip. Plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent if you want a bit more comfort or some shade to better admire the picturesque setting. If you want a break from soaking up the sun, have a stroll into the covered bazaar close to the beach which is full of exotic, aromatic and colorful Turkish wares, food and spices; a fantastic experience whether you’re shopping for souvenirs or just wandering around.
If you want a more adventurous day, take a short tram journey to the nearby resort of Icmeler for its wide array of water sports, boat trips and scuba diving courses at the European Diving Centre. You can even hire your own yacht if a trip to a few other Turkish islands takes your fancy.
By night, enjoy a drink and meal on the beachfront for a sublime setting, or head into town to choose from the many restaurants and bars. For some traditional Turkish food, the wide selection of mezes (starters), olive oil drizzled kebabs and dough based deserts such as baklava and kunefe, all which are infused with a mixture of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Central Asian influences are available from the many Turkish restaurants, grills and taverns. For some nightlife with a Turkish flavour, head to one of the meyhanes (Turkish taverns) for some traditional Turkish drinks such as Raki, Salgam, Ayran and Sahlep. This resort has a thriving nightlife, and some of the hundreds of nightclubs in Marmaris will ensure that you’ll be able to party until dawn.
